How much does an online GP cost in Ireland in 2026?
You open the booking screen with one eye on the fee. Here is what an online GP cost in Ireland looks like on BookMyDoc, what changes the price, and how to see the exact amount before you pay.
You open the booking screen with one eye on the total. Online GP cost Ireland searches are usually that. Not a lecture on healthcare. Just: what do I pay, and does Saturday cost more?
BookMyDoc shows the fee for the slot you pick before you pay. That amount is the consult fee. It is not a shop total for medicines. We do not sell or ship medicines online. If the GP agrees treatment, it can go to your local pharmacy. The chemist may charge separately.
Fees can change. Trust the booking screen. The figures below are the live clinic guide at the time of writing. Confirm on pricing.
If it is an emergency, stop comparing prices. Call 112 or 999, or go to the nearest emergency department.
What an online GP cost in Ireland depends on
Three things move the number.
When you book. Weekday daytime is the standard window, typically 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Ireland time. Evening hours are 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Weekend hours are 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Weekday slots before that window, or during evening hours, use the evening rate. Saturday and Sunday use the weekend rate all day.
Which service you pick. A general Online Consultation is not the same booking as Weight Loss Management or Hair Loss Management. Occupational health and a General Medical Review / Follow-up Consultation have their own rows too.
Coupons. If the clinic has given you a code, enter it on the Review step. The discounted total shows before you pay.
Video vs phone does not add a camera surcharge on a general online visit. The time of day and the service do the work.
Current BookMyDoc fees in 2026 (guide)
Online Consultation (phone or video with an IMC-registered GP)
- Weekday daytime: €35.99
- After-hours: €40.00
- Weekend: €40.00
General Medical Review / Follow-up Consultation
Same three amounts as Online Consultation on the live clinic card: €35.99 daytime, €40.00 after-hours and €40.00 at the weekend. Treatment goes to your licensed local pharmacy only when the GP decides it is suitable.
Occupational health
- Weekday daytime: €35.99
- After-hours: €40.00
- Weekend: €40.00
Weight Loss Management and Hair Loss Management
These use a 1, 3, or 6 month treatment plan on the booking screen, not the general online GP rate.
- 1 month: €45.00
- 3 months: €57.00
- 6 months: €65.00
Services lists both from €45.00. That is the 1 month plan. A longer plan is time and follow-up support if the GP agrees it fits. It is not a bigger bag of medicine.
Looking for the cheapest online doctor in Ireland?
That search is a price check. You already want a phone or video GP. You want the number before you book.
On BookMyDoc a weekday daytime Online Consultation is usually €35.99. Evenings are usually €40.00. Weekends are usually €40.00. That amount is the consult. If the GP sends treatment to a local pharmacy, the chemist can charge separately.
Other clinics post their own prices. Those prices change. This page does not copy them. Open their site on the same day and read the fee yourself. Then compare it with pricing and with the amount on the booking screen.
If that slot looks right, book an appointment.
Is the consultation fee all I pay?
You pay BookMyDoc for the appointment. Pharmacy medicine, if any, is a separate chemist charge.
You pay for the consult. A certificate or treatment only happens if the GP decides it is clinically appropriate. Paying does not buy either.
What you get for the fee
A remote consult with an IMC-registered GP. Advice that fits online care. Treatment to a pharmacy when they agree it is suitable. Sick notes or other documents when that is part of the visit and they agree after assessment.
Keep your registered GP for ongoing care. BookMyDoc does not replace emergency departments.
The same weekday, evening, and weekend fees apply in Cork, Galway, and Limerick. See online GP in Cork and Munster, online GP in Galway and Connacht, and seeing an online GP in Limerick.
